Make a difference in your community—one ride at a time.
Do you enjoy driving and helping others? Join our Volunteer Driver Program and provide essential transportation for neighbors in need. This program offers a flexible, meaningful way to help support seniors who are living independently at home.
What Volunteer Drivers Do
Volunteer drivers use their own personal vehicles to transport individuals to important destinations such as:
- Medical appointments
- Legal appointments
- Meal sites or food distribution centers
- Grocery stores and pharmacies
- Errands and essential services
Your time and compassion help people live more independently and access the care and resources they need.
All volunteers are reimbursed for mileage at the current IRS-approved rate. In addition, you’ll receive support from our Mobility Management Assistant, and you can choose the days and times that work best for you.
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome responsible, caring community members who:
- Have a valid Michigan driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle
- Are willing to complete a background check
- Can commit to a flexible, part-time volunteer schedule
Whether you have a few hours a week or more time to give, your contribution matters.
